The Showdown

That nasty little stomach bug found its way back to the pit of my belly a couple days ago and I’ve been trying to determine which muscle to flex in my abdomen to successfully squash him. Still no luck. He’s definitely getting weaker, though. That’s why I thought it’d be OK to go to volleyball practice tonight. After a quick pit stop before we started, I was able to play through the entire two hour practice without so much as a rumble. Now that I’m sitting down again I can tell that this bug isn’t very happy with my attempts to lead a normal life again. Hopefully tomorrow’s swing dance class will show him that we don’t take kindly to his type ’round these parts.

I woke up this morning to find three new email messages in my inbox. Two were viruses sent to me by Jan and one was a personal email from my friend Sophie asking if the email she had received from me this morning was a virus or not (it was!). Spring XP Cleaning

Warning: Geek Rant!

My Windows XP installation had reached its half-life. So I took the necessary actions to get her up and running again. This entry is for everyone who wants/needs to reinstall Windows, for me as a future reference, and for those who are simply curious. Reyes 2005 in Andorra

Now that’s what I call a ski trip! Any outing where you come back sore, bruised, tired, dizzy, and sick to your stomach is a good one in my book. We should really think about doing this again sometime.

Happy New Year!

As is the tradition in my life, I was with friends last night to ring in the new year. And as is the tradition here in Spain, I marked each of the 12 strokes of midnight by placing a grape in my mouth and then washing the whole thing down with a glass of cava (Catalan Champaign) and kissing everyone. A good time was had by all.
