You fathers-to-be are so helpful!!!! Meanwhile, today it’s loads cooler and raining (or trying to mostly), for those of you keeping tabs on the BCN weather. Maybe Baby Girl Zamrycki Clayton did a rain dance in her swimming pool? She is so powerful!!

We finally dusted off the old plug-in style fans yesterday (I’m afraid of hand-powered technologies) and everyone is back to sleepy semi-comfortably. Even the right foot has cooled off a bit. I offered to add ice cubes to Jan’s pot-o-water, but she thought it may prevent her from falling back to sleep. Go figure.

Hey, hooray! I thought it was just me, but everyone is saying it: It IS hot! Sure, I’m not pregnant, but I AM unstably close to having daily hot flashes (or flushes, if you are so inclined). Anyway, since I got a mention from Mom, I will respond in kind. She’s talking about handheld Spanish-style fans, and my local “todo a cien” (“todo a 2 euros o mas”??) sells ‘em on the cheap. And they ARE good ones. Looks like it’s time to stock up on some more! Maybe Jan can dip hers in ice water before fanning?? xx

I certainly can offer my sympathies- when I was pregnant with you, your father came home to a house with the heat turned totally off (January, Long Beach, New York, 1976) I was marching around in a tee shirt and he had to eat dinner in his leather jacket to try to stay warm. Fans work well, American Jan knows where to get good ones.

What you say is true, Basia. But I checked last night at 3am. Yahoo now says that it’s 26. And in all fairness, Yahoo gets their weather info from The Weather Chanel. So leave my Yahoo alone!

Just wait until the baby takes up so much room that she can no longer breathe. This is where we are at now…not fun, my friend.
