Not that it’s any of my business, but the fact they paid you ‘handsomely’ does not mean that you should not get paid what you are worth for any extra work. Brian is right, do it once and you’ll live to regret it as they walk all over you in future.

I think the most important part of this decision was “they had forgotten to record three lines of text”. I’m pretty sure they’re now resposnsible for paying you for their mistake. Jerks.

Why should you work for free?? If you make the exception this one time, they will expect you to do it again in the future. I would stick to your guns and demand payment.
