Stress Make Me Look Fat?

Things currently on my mind (AKA The Obsession List):

  • Picasso at the Lapin Agile
    • schedule individual rehearsals with three actors
    • design a poster
    • design fliers
    • build sets
    • finish directing the last four weeks of rehearsals
    • make it good
  • The Treasure of the Puta Madre
    • create a press release for the Edinburgh Fringe Office
    • find a press photo
    • create a web site for the company
    • re-edit the sound effects
    • rehearse the show (AKA make it good)
  • The Wedding
    • chase up all the dead-beats who haven’t responded to our invite
    • plan the dinner menu
    • find a (good) suit
  • complete all pending web design jobs
  • update my blog
  • relax so that sty under my eye goes away – for good!

  1. Josh, can you let me have details of Picasso asap? Some woman at ESADE had asked me for info on EL theatre for bored students. Could be a gig or two in it…

  2. 1 – I would love to throw some ideas for a poster together for Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Interested?

2 – Not responded to your wedding invite? You never sent an invite! Just a “save the date” – please remember this, as dad’s side of the family still has not been invited by you.

  3. Rebecca, I’ll tell you since you obviously don’t know: Save The Date messages are traditionally sent as soon as the date of the wedding is known. Formal invitations are sent only six weeks before the event. We requested (in my STD email four months ago!) that EVERYONE get back to us ASAP because we are taking care of accommodations for all our guests coming from other countries and bookings needed to be made early. All of Jan’s family have responded. Only half of my family has bothered to write or call and rumor has it that the other half will not be attending. I can only assume that this is true since they have not told me so themselves. It’s hard not to be hurt my this. Call me a Drama Queen, but I think a wedding is one of the most important events in a person’s life and I had hoped that it would have been treated that way. Oh well, I’ll survive. And as for Dad’s side of the family, Dad agreed to personally contact everyone on his side when I spoke to him almost a month ago. I haven’t heard back from him either. I don’t know if he has contacted anyone. I called last week to check but no one was home. I left a message on the machine. No one has returned my call.

  4. just a thought. you are not required to tell anyone before-hand of course! dad’s family can just wait until 6 weeks before to read their invitations. I was just suggesting the same courtesy you extended to the family with e-mai.

  5. Ah wedding planning….probably the most stressful thing I have gone through EVER. Makes vet school seem like kindergarten.
