I had a very interesting audition today. I am up for a part in Filmax’s new animated feature Donkey Xote! I don’t have a part yet, but I know the director having worked with him on last year’s El Cid The Legend and he personally called me a few months ago to record the voice of Rucio for the DX trailer so I think my chances are pretty good. I auditioned for two different parts (though I may be cast as anyone). I auditioned for the parts of Rucio – Sanco Panza’s donkey and the main character of the film – and James Rooster – a comic secondary character. I was happier with my performance as James Rooster but I would really prefer the part of Rucio (obviously). The director told me that they’re currently talking with Kevin Bacon and Danny DeVito so anything could happen here. They want to record the voices within the next month so we should know something soon. Wish me luck!
